The short version: Free is free, Pro is $8 a month and you can cancel anytime from your dashboard. Use it fairly, check AI rewrites before you send them, and your prompts stay yours.
These terms cover the TerraWatch website, browser extension, and twc command-line tool (together, "TerraWatch"). By creating an account or using TerraWatch, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use TerraWatch.
TerraWatch rewrites AI prompts to use fewer tokens and shows estimates of the energy, CO₂, and water behind them. Those environmental figures are estimates based on published per-token research, meant as a consistent yardstick rather than an exact measurement.
You need an account for deep rewrites, the dashboard, and Pro. Give us an email address you control, keep your password private, and let us know right away if you think someone else has accessed your account. An account is for one person.
The Free plan includes quick clean, prompt scoring, and ten deep AI rewrites a day. Pro costs $8 per month, billed monthly through Stripe, and adds unlimited deep rewrites, history, the before/after diff view, and monthly impact reports. Pro renews automatically each month until you cancel. If we ever change the price, we'll tell you by email before it affects your next renewal.
You can cancel Pro anytime from your dashboard under Account, then Manage subscription. When you cancel, Pro stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If you were charged by mistake or something went wrong with billing, email adminterrawatch@gmail.com within 14 days of the charge and we'll make it right.
Don't use TerraWatch to break the law or to process content that's illegal or infringes someone else's rights. Don't try to access other people's accounts or data, overload or disrupt the service, scrape or resell it, or get around usage limits, including the hourly limit on deep rewrites. We may suspend accounts that do.
Deep rewrites are generated by a third-party AI model. They aim to keep your exact meaning, but they can make mistakes, so review a rewrite before you send it. You're responsible for the prompts you send and for how you use the responses you get back.
Your prompts are yours. We don't store the text of your prompts, and we only use a prompt to perform the rewrite you asked for. Our privacy policy explains exactly what we do store.
TerraWatch relies on other providers, including Stripe for payments, Supabase for accounts and data, Anthropic for deep rewrites, and Resend for email. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to the parts of the service they provide.
We're always improving TerraWatch, so features may change, and some may be added or removed. We work to keep it running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available or error-free.
TerraWatch is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
You can stop using TerraWatch at any time. To delete your account, email adminterrawatch@gmail.com. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
If we update these terms, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we'll let you know by email. Continuing to use TerraWatch after an update means you accept the new terms.
